WHY JOIN NCADD-MARYLAND?

The community of persons interested in issues related to substance abuse is large. People in recovery, families trying to get help for a loved one, treatment professionals, educators, faith leaders, community leaders, lawmakers…the list is endless. The fact is that addiction directly affects the health, safety, and quality of life of us all.

By joining NCADD-Maryland, you add your voice, and financial support, to the wide variety of advocacy, public policy, information-sharing and dissemination, educational, outreach and supportive service activities NCADD-Maryland is involved in. You also gain access to a large network of individuals and organizations committed to addressing the need of those in recovery and those seeking to access treatment.  In joining the work we do, the message you send to your friends and family is that this is an important issue – for all of us, regardless of our personal experience.

NCADD-Maryland members enjoy discounts on events and educational forums where fees are involved, including the NCADD-Maryland Tuerk Conference, Professionals Dinner and TOP Luncheon. Membership dues also go to support NCADD-Maryland programs such as our Addiction Treatment Advocates Committee (ATAC), Recovery Councils of Maryland (RCM) and our ”upcoming” Family-Assistance Network (FAN). 

In addition you will receive regular updates (via email and website postings) of upcoming treatment and recovery focused events happening in your community, and across the state.  You will also receive updates and “action alerts” relating to legislative and regulatory developments, locally or statewide, that impact the recovery and treatment communities.
